Puri.li/books is now online. It has an index of 40+ million books with the coverimages provided by the Open Library initiative from the Internet Archive. These images are then proxied via our image proxy.

Beyond that there is now a blog (which you're reading now) to keep you updated on the latest developments with Purili.

The crawler is back online after quite some work has been put in to make it more spam-resistant. The index has increased (July 21 - July 22) by almost 40 million (from ~142 mln to 181mln excl. the 40+ mln books indexed at puri.li/books) in the past 24 hours.

Update 24-July: we have reached 200+ million pages! And searches have gone from 2-6 seconds to sub 1 second for 90%+ of queries.
